What a half baked idea. Why sit on the fence? If you want to go for president, then go for it.

Thank you President, Chairman & Hon Sec. My next suggestion is that we recognise the fact that we are a WEEKEND club. More people attend on a Sunday than a Saturday judging from print run requirements. This means we as a Club should be giving more attention to Juniors' and Ladies' views than we have, characteristically, in the past and recognising their potential contribution ( & revenue) value to the club instead of incentivising , unwittingly, year and separatist groupings which probably only exist because they feel no place in the Club's direction and have never been as welcome to "move and groove" because of the Saturday/Sunday divide. The Club remains a Limited Company that owns its facility - we would carry a lot of weight in anything we decide to do - and it strikes me that we need to resource Sunday from a Club representation viewpoint as much as we do Saturdays in order that we can focus that viewpoint and harness its power. I would cheerfully stand for Sunday president ARFC if such a position existed.

As one of those (few) who vehemently fought for the continued existence of the free exchange of views that the guestbook offers whether contributions were signed anonymously or not, whether they offered a positive or negative view or whether they were seen as potentially advantageous or deleterious to the club I welcome it back as the open forum it was and the ONLY communication mechanism in the club which generated ACTION ! While so many in defence of abandoning the Guestbook said the proper place to communicate is with the relevant committee member we still have the President, Hon Sec and Chairman available only by the sketchiest of contact details if you check the contact list. Time to get this sorted and, yes, it is a criticism! Gentlemen, you could change this now if you wanted to.
