SENIOR TRAINING

Senior mens training takes place every Tuesday and Thursday evenings starting promptly at 7.00pm (changed and out on the pitch please)

What ever your ability or rugby experiance, all new comers will be warmly welcomed to Ashford Rugby Club by our coaching team of Dai Fussell,  Tony Kendall and Neil Crossley who run structured sesions including fitness, basic skills, set piece moves and game play.We aim to make all sessions enjoyable, varied and relative to any issues that matches may highlight as problem areas. The more people who attend training with the correct attitude and on a regular basis the more we can achive and the more succesful the senior sides will become. Training is open to any player from any senior side (not just the first team). The club does expect all first team squad members to attend both sessions on a regular basis so that the club can achieve its aim of winning KENT 1 this season and moving back into the London league structure. From where it can gain in confidence and give the strong junior section the base it needs to keep and encourage the players that will take the club up through the leagues, and make Ashford Rugby Club the force that it should be in Kent rugby.

Seniors & youth coaching Programme

As discussed early season, the intention is to integrate the senior players into assisting with the coaching and development of the Age Grade sides. Players will also be there to assist the Age Grade coaches, whether that is by holding a tackle pad or delivering bitsize coaching sessions. Players will endeavour to attend home training sessions where work & family commitments allow.
